Drilling Mud Direct Secures Financing to Expand Operations
Colorado-based Drilling Mud Direct (DMD) announces a partnership with Broadwater Capital that will allow it to expand its nationwide distribution capabilities.
Founded in 2002 by Clint Pitman, DMD operates a nationwide stockpoint network. It distributes bentonite, drilling fluid additives, shaker screens, solidification solutions and related consumable products. The company’s affiliated entities — Freight Direct LLC and Pitbull Services LLC — provide integrated logistics and onsite mud engineering services.
“This partnership gives us the resources and strategic support to do more of what we’re already doing — serve our customers better, reach new markets, and invest in the capabilities that HDD and civil construction contractors increasingly need from their supply partners,” says Pitman. “I am looking forward to leading a new and improved DMD into the future. For our customers, it is business as usual, but with more support, stockpoints, and technology. Our team is excited to take DMD to another level.”
“Clint and his team have built something rare — a distribution business with genuine supplier relationships, logistics advantages, and a reputation for customer care that took decades to build,” says Erik Barner, founder and managing partner of Broadwater Capital. “The HDD and civil construction markets are growing, and DMD is positioned at the center of that activity. We’re here to help the team capitalize on the opportunity ahead.”
