Leadership Transition at Gabe’s Construction Co.

After 25 years of service, Matthew Gabrielse has decided to resign from his role as president and chief executive officer of Gabe’s Construction. This is effective Jan. 30.
The board has accepted Gabrielse’s resignation and would like to express their gratitude to him for his contributions, and the strong foundation he helped build at Gabe’s Construction.
To ensure that the company’s operations continue without interruption. The board announces that Justin Zylstra has been appointed as the new president and CEO, also effective Jan. 30, 2026.
Zylstra has been a key member of the executive leadership team at Gabe’s since 2018, most
recently serving as chief financial officer. He brings deep financial experience along with a
strong understanding of the company’s field operations and long-term capital needs. These align with the
strategic goals for the coming years. The board has full confidence in his abilities to lead the company into its next phase.
Prior to joining Gabe’s Zylstra accumulated more than 11 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus in the underground sector.
