CATT Distributes Awards of Excellence at Annual General Meeting

The Centre for Advancement of Trenchless Technologies (CATT) held its annual general meeting (AGM) on Oct. 11, at the Mississauga Grand Banquet & Convention Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. More than 75 representatives from municipalities, consultants, contractors and suppliers attended the event.
One of the highlights of the event is the recognition of the CATT 2017-18 Award of Excellence recipients. The Awards of Excellence recognize outstanding people, organizations and projects that were instrumental in advancing the trenchless industry locally and internationally.
CATT recognized Earth Boring Company Ltd. with the Outstanding Organization award for its long history of commitment and contributions to the advancement of the trenchless industry.
Representatives of GHD Consultants and the
City of Cambridge, Ontario, accept their
CATT Award of Excellence.
Earth Boring Co. has been integral to the advancement of trenchless technologies in Ontario with its commitment to professionalism, quality and workmanship through all phases of a project; and, its willingness to volunteer with CATT, Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) and the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) and its own efforts to bring awareness about trenchless technologies.
The Outstanding Project award went to the City of Cambridge, Ontario, GHD Consultants and LiquiForce Services for the Hespeler Trunk Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project. This project required access to a trunk in an undeveloped area, line inversion and by-pass flow to cross a river.
CATT Award of Excellence Individual
winner Kevin Bainbridge delivers the
keynote address at the CATT AGM.
Kevin Bainbridge, A.Sc.T, of Robinson Consultants, received the Individual award for his training and promotion of the trenchless industry and being a passionate believer in trenchless rehabilitation technologies.
Bainbridge also delivered the keynote address and discussed how trenchless rehabilitation saved millions of dollars for municipalities and water utilities and extended service life of existing buried infrastructure.
