The Niagara Falls Trenchless Technology Road Show (TRS) completed a successful conference June 5-6, co-organized by Trenchless Technology magazine and the Centre for the Advancement of Trenchless Technology (CATT).
The TRS attracted more than 350 attendees to the Scotiabank Convention Center in Ontario, Canada. Opening remarks were given by CATT program chairperson Ashley Rammeloo, City of London. The Keynote Address was presented by Dr. Sam Ariaratnam, ISTT chairman and professor at Arizona State University. Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati offered welcoming remarks.
The conference saw attendees from many areas of the world. The two-day, three-track technical conference included 77 papers presented on topics including pipeline planning and design, construction and rehabilitation, materials, geotechnical considerations, inspection and condition assessment, asset management and sustainability. Attendees came through the exhibition area to visit the 50 exhibitors who were displaying the latest in technology and innovation for the trenchless industry. The show also saw live equipment demos by LiquiForce and Wolseley Engineered Pipe, giving attendees a hands-on approach to some of the new technology that is available.
The next TRS will be held Oct. 9-10 in Wilmington, Ohio. The event will be held in conjunction with the Opportunities in Utility Construction Conference (OUCC), both organized by Benjamin Media Inc. For more information, go to www.oucconference.com.
