In-Building 4,300-Ft CIPP Rehab for a Colorado Ski Resort
The HOA of a condominium building at a popular Colorado ski resort faced an escalating plumbing crisis.
Built in the early 1980s, the property’s cast-iron infrastructure — spanning both vertical stacks and horizontal sewer lines — had reached the end of its service life.
Over four decades of wear, corrosion and buildup had led to chronic blockages, backups, and leaks. These issues threatened the comfort of the guests and value of the property.
Two NuFlow certified contractors joined forces to complete a 4,300-ft in-building pipe rehabilitation at a Colorado ski resort. They compressed a 180-day schedule into just 90 days, using NuDrain pull-in-place cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), NuCure UV curing and brush coating technologies.
The HOA’s building consultant reached out to NuFlow Technologies for a consultation. After evaluating the extensive scope — more than 4,300 ft of failing cast-iron lines — NuFlow connected the project with two trusted certified contractors. These companies were King Rooter & Plumbing and Anytime Plumbing.
Recognizing the project’s complexity and compressed schedule, the contractors made a strategic decision to join forces. They shared resources, expertise, and profits to ensure success.
The Challenge
The project was originally designed as a 180-day rehabilitation, but the HOA requested completion before the July 4th holiday weekend. This cut the timeline in half. The new 90-day deadline introduced intense pressure, compounded by several technical challenges.
