How Trenchless Technology Fueled Plumb Perfect’s Next Chapter
Plumb Perfect is the perfect example of how trenchless technology can make a significant impact in the plumbing industry.
Located in the relatively small town of Wenatchee, Washington — situated between Spokane and Seattle — this long-time plumbing contractor made the decision to add the trenchless dimension to its service lineup nearly two years ago. As a result, it has seen immediate substantial growth.
Since 1998, Plumb Perfect has carved out a strong name for itself for its plumbing offering and expertise, starting with its founder Matt Bruggman. He envisioned his company to be more than just a full-service plumbing company. Trenchless technology wasn’t even on the company’s radar until a few years ago. However, it proved to be the perfect fit and catalyst the company needed.
“Dad and I set out to be the best in plumbing and starting out, it was just him and me,” says Plumb Perfect general manager Cameron Bruggman. “[Dad] knew he wanted to have extra factions, such as electrical and HVAC. Trenchless wasn’t well known back then but I knew when I met Tyler [Allen, who had significant trenchless experience] that it was exactly what my Dad would have intended for our company.”
Today, Plumb Perfect has 16 employees and has grown to include a full suite of trenchless services. Once committed to adding trenchless technology, the company made a significant investment in trenchless equipment. This allowed them to handle whatever trenchless work was asked.
Matt Bruggman passed away before he was able to see the impressive results the decision to add trenchless wielded. However, he did meet Allen during those early conversations and was excited with the plans taking shape to add trenchless to its suite of services.
“I actually got to present my dad with the first section of pipe that we lined. Was so cool to give him that,” Bruggman says. “I now have it sitting on my desk and it’s signed by everyone. He was so excited to see it.”
Plumbing Remains its Bread and Butter
While trenchless has brought a diversity of services to the company, at its core, plumbing remains its top tier service.
“On the plumbing side, we’re full-scale,” says Bruggman. “We do commercial jobs, residential, remodels, etc. Service is our bread and butter and [it] is what we originally started out on. If it flows water or sewage, we’re on it.”
