Halsall Group Becomes Part of Parsons Brinckerhoff

George J. Pierson, president and CEO of Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc. (PB) has announced that the Halsall group, comprising Halsall Associates, Pivotal Projects and Loop Initiatives, has become the Canadian operating company of PB, the 14,000-person global professional services firm specializing in infrastructure planning, design, and program/construction management.

Halsall Associates is the Canadian consulting engineering firm founded in 1956; Pivotal projects is its Canadian project management company; and Loop Initiatives is the corporate sustainability consulting business of Halsall. In its 2009 fiscal year the 358-person Halsall group, with seven offices throughout Canada, had revenues of C$46 million.

Said Pierson, “We are thrilled to have the Halsall companies as part of PB and serving as our Canadian entity. Clients are at the center of what we do. The joining of Halsall’s strength in buildings with PB’s strength in transportation infrastructure allows us both to provide enhanced services to existing clients as well as new clients throughout Canada. We share Halsall’s values and commitment to community sustainability and are enthusiastic about the great potential to be realized by this.”

A significantly expanded presence in Canada opens up greater opportunities for PB employees, just as Halsall’s alignment with PB provides greater opportunities for all Halsall employees.
