RDO Vermeer Opens New Locations in North Dakota

RDO Vermeer announces new expansion in Dickinson and Williston, N.D. Both stores opened in 2011 to serve customers working in the many oil and gas projects occurring in western North Dakota.

The Dickinson and Williston stores are located in the heart of the Bakken Shale formation in western North Dakota. Both facilities are new construction, with Dickinson at 6,800 sq ft and Williston at 20,000 sq ft. Due to the rapid growth in the Dickinson area, plans are already under way for a larger location on the north side of the city, to be completed in 2013. The locations provide full-line sales and support of Vermeer underground, environmental and tree-care products.

“Given the large number of current and new businesses now operating in the North Dakota Bakken area, we made the decision to open these locations to best serve those customers,” said Marshall Anderson, vice president of Vermeer division, RDO Equipment Co. “Previously we were able to support this business through our Bismarck location. However, the demand for equipment and parts and service has increased tremendously in the last year, so the new locations provide our customers operating in this area a better option for their needs.”

RDO Equipment is headquartered in Fargo, N.D., and has more than 60 locations in nine U.S. states. The company began in 1968 as a distributor of John Deere agriculture equipment, and has grown to also offer John Deere construction equipment, Topcon products and Vermeer equipment.  RDO Equipment has been a Vermeer dealer since 1989 and currently represents Vermeer in locations throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, Oregon, California, Nevada and Hawaii.
