Pure Technologies Ltd. to Establish Joint Venture in China
Pure Technologies Ltd. (TSX-V: PUR) recently announced the establishment of Pure Technologies China Ltd. (Pure China), a joint venture with Balama Prima Engineering Co. Ltd.
Balama Prima is a privately held Hong Kong-based company with more than 400 employees and significant business interests in the infrastructure sector in China. Pure China will represent Pure’s interests in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.
Jon Boon has been appointed general manager of Pure China. Boon has more than 20 years of business development and marketing experience in the water industry, and was most recently business development and technical manager for Insituform Asia Limited. He is currently chairman of the China Hong Kong Society for Trenchless Technology and the Hong Kong Institute of Utility Specialists Rehabilitation Division. Boon will report to Derek Choi, of Balama Prima, who will act as managing director of the joint venture. In addition to his role with Pure China, Boon will act in a business development capacity for Pure Technologies Ltd. in the Asia-Pacific region. He will be based in Hong Kong.

Balama Prima is an ideal partner for us as they are heavily involved in the trenchless technology business and they have wide-ranging contacts in the water, wastewater and oil & gas sectors in the region. Furthermore, they have considerable experience in working with Western partners.”
