Kelsey Named InfoSense Western Regional Sales Manager

InfoSense Inc., of Charlotte, North Carolina, recently added Heath Kelsey to its team as the company’s western regional sales manager.

Kelsey has more than 20 years of experience in the water and wastewater industries including work with corrosion control products, operating as a general engineering contractor, and serving in various distributor and OEM sales management roles.

“We are excited to bring Heath on board,” said InfoSense CEO Dr. George Selembo. “His background and experience will help us accelerate adoption of the SL-RAT in the Western U.S.”

InfoSense manufactures the Sewer Line Rapid Assessment Tool (SL-RAT), in Charlotte.  The SL-RAT provides utility operators with a tool to quickly (three minutes or less) screen their sewer lines for blockage conditions using patented acoustic technology. The allows the operator to better prioritize cleaning and CCTV resources.

The SL-RAT is composed of two components – the transmitter (TX unit) and the receiver (RX unit). Each SL-RAT device is sold or leased as a uniquely configured “pair” – with the TX providing the active acoustic transmission through the pipe and the RX providing the microphone and signal processing capabilities to listen and interpret the received acoustic signal.

Additionally, each SL-RAT component is equipped with GPS and the ability to communicate between the TX and RX via RF – thus providing operators with data labeling, data registration and test validation capabilities.

The SL-RAT has inspected more than 35 million feet of municipal sewer pipe around the world – reducing sewer overflows and saving customers millions of dollars.
