Ferro Monk Rebuilds
May 1, 2008
Ferro Monk Systems Ltd., one of the U.K.’s leading sewer and drainage rehabilitation solutions specialists, has recently completed a £1M investment program at its Swillington facility in Leeds. The investment followed a major fire in April 2007.
The fire, which started in an adjacent factory, ravaged through the company’s premises, destroying everything before it, including specialist plant equipment, manufacturing equipment and vehicles that were in the yard.
The £1M investment program, which required the complete re-development of the office accommodation, production and storage facilities, also included the purchase of new remote cutting and CCTV inspection units, a liner impregnation plant for CIPP lining and casting equipment for its man-entry Ferrocement operations. The vehicles that were destroyed in the fire were also replaced.
The entire schedule of activity, which took only six months to complete, means that the company now has some of the most modern state-of-the-art facilities and equipment available in the United Kingdom.
Ferro Monk Systems, which has been part of the Lincolnshire-based Clugston Group since 1999, has a multi-million turnover and operates throughout the United Kingdom. The company has been providing rehabilitation and renovation services to blue chip clients for a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications since 1980.
Ferro Monk managing director Danny Heffernan said, “It has been a fantastic team effort. Everyone has done a marvelous job to get us fully operational in such a short period of time. The new facilities, together with the introduction of the brand new equipment, will allow us to continue to provide our customers with the best possible service.”
