Vortex Subsidiary Wins Contract for Rehab of Perth, Australia Sewers

Vortex Pipes Limited (ASX Code: VTX), has been awarded a contract with the Water Corporation of
W.A. to refurbish sewers in the Perth, Australia, region, through its subsidiary, Premium Pipe Services Pty Ltd.

The initial value of the Contract is in excess of $350,000 and the works are expected to commence

The contract awarded is the Water Corporation of W.A. Contract for the Refurbishment of Reticulation
Sewers Perth Region (2009). The contract involves the refurbishment of approximately 2.3
kilometres of reticulation sewer pipes at various locations in the Perth metropolitan region. Vortex
proposes to reline the sewers using Saertex multiCom fibreglass and resin liner. The company will
use its world leading ultra-violet light curing technology to cure the liners as a close fit liner to the
existing pipes to be rehabilitated.

Vortex Managing Director Trevor Gosatti said the contract is important as it is a substantial pipe
relining contract the company has obtained from the Water Corporation of W.A., who is the main
asset owner of sewer and water networks in Western Australia. The company has previously
completed some minor relining works for the Corporation.

“The company is very pleased to be awarded this contract as we see it as a strategic move to form a
stronger commercial relationship with the Water Corporation of W.A., which maintains most of the
sewer reticulation networks in Western Australia,” said Mr Gosatti.

“We believe that the Saertex product is one of the best quality pipe relining solutions on the world
market and we are pleased to have the opportunity to further demonstrate this to the Water
Corporation and the market. The successful completion of these works will assist us in being able to
secure future pipe refurbishment contracts here and interstate,” he said.
