TRIC Tools Receives Special Export Achievement Award

On July 26,, the honorable Jeffrey L. Bleich, U.S. Ambassador to Australia, presented TRIC Tools with an Export Achievement Certificate at Angela’s Bistro in Alameda. TRIC Tools Inc., the company that pioneered the design and method of sewer lateral pipe bursting, recently signed a distribution agreement with Drainchem Pty. Ltd. of Australia. Drainchem will distribute the TRIC Trenchless pipebursting products throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Rod Hirsch, the director of the Oakland Export Assistance Center, officiated the ceremonies. Also in attendance was special guest Rob Bonta, Alameda’s vice mayor. Others at the event were Jesus Vargas, principle of VCSE Engineering of Oakland, plus Angela Tarver and Hong (Iris) Wang, both of Citibank Alameda. Representing TRIC Tools were Gregg Abbott and Michael Lien, director of sales and CFO respectively.
In order to develop its international business, TRIC Tools has worked closely with Mr. Hirsch and the Export Assistance Team. In 2009, TRIC signed Z-Techno as its Russian distributor. In 2010, TRIC signed dealers in India and the Philippines, and then in 2011 TRIC signed DWB in Lithuania. Earlier this year TRIC signed a distribution agreement with Israel, and next with T.A. Drilling in the United Kingdom, before adding Drainchem to the list. In June, TRIC shipped two pipebursting systems to Japan and in July shipped five more pipebursting systems to Russia.
TRIC Tools, Inc. is an infrastructure and environmental solutions company that provides proprietary technology, tools and services for the “non-invasive” rehabilitation and replacement of sewer, water, gas and other difficult to access underground pipes. TRIC’s manufacturing facility is based in Alameda, Calif., and holds four U.S. and International patents for its device and method of trenchless pipe replacement. TRIC equipment is ultra-compact, and is categorically the smallest and lightest trenchless pipe replacement option in the industry.
