Trenchless Road Show a Success in Toronto
The final stop for the 2010 Trenchless Road Show program was in Toronto, Canada, June 9-10. Strong participation by attendees and exhibitors resulted in the Toronto Trenchless Road Show being an overwhelming success.
Held at the Mississauga Grand Banquet and Convention Centre near Toronto, the fourth bi-annual show attracted more 340 attendees — an event record. Many of the attendees came from as far away as British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
“It was exciting to see the record-turnout of exhibitors and attendees. This year’s addition of the social hour was also a big success. Now the question is: How do we beat it in 2012?” said Ashley M. Rammeloo, City of London, who co-chaired the event with David Crowder of R.V. Anderson Associates Ltd.
Forty-five exhibitors presented the latest in trenchless technology, including platinum sponsors Insituform Technologies and Liquiforce. Because of the record turnout, many technical sessions offered turned into standing-room-only affairs — a testimony to the fact that trenchless is becoming a more ubiquitous technology as an increasing number of municipalities see its benefits. Session topics included asset management, condition assessment, emerging industry trends and a variety of rehabilitation and new installation case studies. Sprayroq conducted a live outdoor demonstration for attendees on structural manhole rehabilitation.
