Jonathan Steele Retires as President of Madewell Products Corp.
As Alpharetta, Georgia-based Madewell Products Corp. celebrates its 50th anniversary, the next generation of the Steele family is set to take the reins leading the company forward.
In a letter signed and dated July 8, Jonathan Steele, president of Madewell Products announced his retirement and appointed Natalie Steele as his successor.
Natalie Steele has been with Madewell since 2012 and became vice president of operations in 2019.
Joining Natalie Steele at the leadership table is Craig Closser, vice president of business development. Although no longer involved in day-to-day operations, Jonathan Steele remains an integral part of Madewell as majority owner.
Jonathan Steele has been a pioneer in the coatings industry since the beginning of Madewell Products in 1974. After acquiring the rights from US Steel Corp. to manufacture the Mainstay Composite Liner, he perfected the single-curing process of applying an epoxy topcoat over uncured restoration mortar to increase structural integrity and provide corrosion protection to new and deteriorated surfaces. Today, the Mainstay Composite Liner continues to be a system that stands out among others in the underground infrastructure industry.
Jonathan Steele has long recognized and honored the statement, “Execution is everything,” which empowered him to develop Madewell Products’ line of quality application equipment to enable our customers to execute work consistently.
Over the last 50 years, Mainstay brand products have been used to line concrete surfaces in multiple markets throughout the U.S. and abroad. Today, Madewell Products manufactures a variety of cementitious and epoxy products. Madewell also manufactures specialized application equipment for use with these materials. Madewell Products is excited to continue growing its business and looks forward to its future success.
