GSTT Brings International No-Dig 2011 to Berlin

On March 29, ISTT annual board of directors meeting took place prior to the kick off of the 2009 International No-Dig show in Toronto, Canada, with 19 of the 24 affiliated societies present.

On the agenda beyond the usual reports and strategic plans, future international No-Dig conferences were discussed.

The International No-Dig 2010 is set for Singapore Nov. 8-10, with exhibition specialist Westrade Group Ltd., London, organizer of the trenchless events and No-Dig Live series organizing it. Singapore marks the first time that the No-Dig exhibition will be held in a country where there is no national trenchless society.

For No-Dig 2011, the board had to decide between two nominations: Pretoria, South Africa, and Berlin, Germany,  with each nominee having 15 minutes to present to the board. Due to the professional presentation by the GSTT with interactive slides and a film about the capital Berlin supported by some substantial arguments such as the joint event with the WASSER BERLIN 2011 exhibition, the decision was made in favor of Berlin.
Currently there is only one nomination for 2012 and one for 2013: São Paulo, Brazil, and Tokyo, Japan, respectively.
