Granite Inliner announces two key executive placements to facilitate the company’s western expansion into California, Washington and Oregon. Jason Walborn has joined the company as director of business development and Mark Slack is named director, West USA.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jason to the Granite Inliner team with Mark leading the company’s expansion to the West,” said Denise McClanahan, vice president of Granite Inliner. “Both are very well-known and respected in the industry and are the right team to help drive our expansion.”
Walborn is a 23-year sales and operations executive with extensive experience in public infrastructure and is a qualifier in six states for state contracting licenses. He most recently comes from Hoffman Southwest/Pro-Pipe where, as national director of business development, he led the company’s sales with double-digit annual growth through two private equity acquisitions of the business during his eight-year term. Prior to that, Walborn served as a business development manager in trenchless technology and as general manager/partner providing civil engineering, surveying and infrastructure development services.
Slack is a 41-year industry executive that has been in the cured-in-place pipe industry since its infancy. He joined Granite Inliner’s predecessor Layne Inliner in 2011 when it acquired Wildcat Civil Services.
“We look forward to serving our new West Coast customers with the same full-system renewal approach that cities east of the Rockies have come to appreciate and expect from Granite Inliner and its predecessors for the past few decades,” said Slack. “We are known leaders in partnering through program management and alternative delivery methods, which brings higher value to customers.”
Granite Inliner’s first western regional office will be co-located with Granite’s South Coast Regional office in Carlsbad, California.
