Editor’s Message – Many Thanks for Your Dedication
As I write this, the world is in the midst of a global pandemic and there is much uncertainty. While I am no expert on viruses or pandemics one thing I do know is that while the bulk of North America is shutting down to prevent the spread of the virus – flatten the curve as they say – there are groups of hard working men and women who do not have the luxury of working from home, as we at Benjamin Media.
We’d like to highlight you on our website and social media. Send us photos of you and your crews and we’ll share them in an ongoing “PROs on the Road” section. We’ll keep running the photos as long as you submit them. Send photos to mkezdi@benjaminmedia.com.
One of those groups are sewer and drain cleaning professionals. Whether you work on the residential, commercial or the municipal side of the industry, you are part of the backbone of North America. You provide an essential, often overlooked and unheralded service. Simply put, we need you.
I applaud all of you who, despite social distancing and other restrictions make it to work each day — or as many days as your health has allowed — during this global health and economic crisis.
That being said, and to get you some much-needed recognition, I’d like to highlight you on our website and social media. Send me photos of you and your crews and I’ll share them in an ongoing “PROs on the Road” section. We’ll keep running the photos as long as you submit them.
Also, in this increasingly digital world, we’re trying something new – video interviews for our YouTube page and/or recorded podcasts. These are more impromptu and off the cuff style and can cover a variety of topics.
Obviously right now we are focused on the pandemic and how people are working through it. Let me know if you’d be interested in chatting on one of those formats and we can work out the details.
Again, kudos to you for slogging through this crisis making sure our drains and sewers remain in top working condition.
Sharing Your Story
One of the highlights of working at Benjamin Media and now at Pipe Cleaning PRO is talking to the boots on the ground in the industry, hearing their stories, how they have grown their companies, how they embrace innovation and their concerns about the industry. Whether you are a distributor, contractor, engineer or manufacturer, feel free to reach out to me with news and story ideas or other ways in which we can improve the magazine to better suit your needs.
Just a heads up. If you’re picking this issue up from the end table at an office, the barbershop or the bench seat of a flusher truck, and you like what you see, visit pipecleaningpro.com/subscribe to sign-up for your free subscription.
