CH2M Hill Eyes Revenue Growth in India
CH2M Hill has charted an ambitious growth plan for its India unit, and aims to treble revenues in the country to $75 to 80 million by 2015, according to Ajay Pradhan, the company’s managing director for India.
The company is planning to build on its 2011 acquisition of Halcrow to fuel the growth of its water practice in the next few years on the premise that it can contribute up to 50 percent of the group’s total Indian revenues. In 2012, CH2M Hill’s water consulting and project management practice generated revenues of about $6 million in India, including a $2 million contribution from Halcrow.
Pradhan said the company’s strategic plan for the water business is to focus on new projects spanning urban water supply and municipal and industrial wastewater. Between 2013 and 2014, CH2M Hill aims to win consulting projects with a value of $50 to 60 million, including detailed engineering work and program management.
