The 2021 in-person event will take place at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Additionally, the organizers have added plans for a virtual marketplace, WWETT+, to complement the physical event. The virtual experience will take place Feb. 23-25.
In addition to introducing a virtual event in 2021, the WWETT Show team also welcomes Kristen McKercher as the brand’s new director. McKercher joins the WWETT Show with more than 15 years of experience in the business-to-business events arena, having successfully led multiple brands within the Infrastructure & Construction portfolio throughout her tenure with WWETT parent company, Informa Markets.

“I am thrilled to take on this new role, during such a transformative period for the industry, and we are collectively thrilled to connect wastewater professionals through multiple channels,” said McKercher, group director for the WWETT Show at Informa Markets. “WWETT+ will allow us to deliver on the industry’s immediate needs in a meaningful way until we connect in-person in June.”
Launched in March 2020 in response to initial concerns surrounding COVID-19, WWETT+ provided government resources, industry specific information and, through partnership with WasteWater Education, on demand classes. Under McKercher’s leadership, WWETT+ is expanding to a include a product showcase, including the latest equipment and technology for the wastewater industry, technical workshops and a full education line-up. The technology behind the WWETT+ event enables face-to-face meetings online between wastewater and environmental professionals, equipment manufacturers, and product representatives.
Held over the original dates of the show, WWETT+ will continue to showcase why together, as a community, #weareessential. Now more than ever, the WWETT Show is dedicated to being the premier platform for municipalities, plumbers, portable sanitation professionals, septic contractors, sewer contractors and wastewater professionals.
In an effort to provide new ways for our communities to connect and grow, WWETT is introducing new opportunities to ensure all wastewater and environment services industry professionals have the maximum opportunity for product distribution, sourcing, networking, and learning. Launching in February, WWETT+ will give wastewater professionals the opportunity to connect and preview products while enjoying creative, immersive online experiences.
