Trenchless Conference Set for Hong Kong
Hong Kong has one of the largest water mains rehabilitation programs in the world, with much of the work done in an urban, busy environment. Installing and rehabilitating pipes and cables beneath the streets by trenchless means require novel techniques and much planning and liaison with the local authorities.
TRENCHLESS TECHNOLOGIES IN ASIA PACIFIC — HONG KONG 2009 will provide an international forum for discussion on the latest techniques and developments in trenchless technology. In addition to a number of technical papers, the program will highlight case studies of major projects already undertaken in the Pacific Region, as well as the rest of the world. The two-day program will be held on Nov. 18-19. A social event is planned to take place on Nov. 18.
The conference is jointly organized by the China Hong Kong Society for Trenchless Technology (CHKSTT) and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
