SAERTEX multiCom Opens Expanded North American Headquarters
The new production and warehouse building for SAERTEX multiCom LP in Huntersville, North Carolina is now open and fully operational.
Since 2009, the facility has produced SAERTEX’s GRP pipe liners for the North and Central American market. In order to greatly expand its U.S. business in the coming years, the company invested more than $20 million in the upgraded facility. More than 40 new jobs have been created in Mecklenburg County since its establishment.

Since the groundbreaking ceremony in December 2020, a new production facility with approximately 110,000 sq ft of production space and modern, sustainable infrastructure has been built.
“With the opening of the new production in Huntersville, we have implemented an important cornerstone for our global strategic growth plan,” says Kai Diecks, global managing director of the Saertex multiCom Group. “The new state-of-the-art production will allow us to expand both our local product portfolio and our on-site production capacity. The new plant also improves our logistics and storage capacities.”
At Saertex multiCom LP, SAERTEX-LINERS are produced for the North and Central American market. With the new facility, numerous processes can be optimized. Up to now, the SAERTEX-LINER MULTI could be produced up to a nominal diameter of 48 in. (DN 1200). Later this year, Saertex multiCom LP will be able to produce diameters up to 64 in. (DN 1600) with wall thicknesses up to 15 mm.

Another important addition to the new plant is in-house resin impregnation. Saertex multiCom LP can now impregnate its GRP liners itself – previously, this area was outsourced. Lastly, training rooms have been created in the new building to increase customer service.
“The new plant underlines our commitment to our customers in North America. With the new production facilities, we can optimally address the local requirements of our customers,” says Klaus Langenbach, managing director of Saertex multiCom LP. “As a solution provider in the UV-CIPP market, we will use the new administrative space to help our customers train their construction crews.”
Since late March 2022, the first self-impregnated SAERTEX-LINERS from the new Huntersville plant have already been delivered to customers and successfully installed.
