Practical Pigging Training in Rio de Janeiro Set for April 27-May 1
The first-ever hands-on training course designed to instruct attendees in what pigs do, how they do it, and how they can be safely operated, is being held at the CTDUT test loop in Rio de Janeiro on April 27-May 1, 2009, and details are now available at www.piggingtraining.com.
The course is a joint project between CTDUT, Penspen of the UK, Rosen Engineering of Brazil (who will supply the pigs and accompanying technicians), and Houston-based Clarion/Scientific Surveys Ltd, and is designed to give real practical experience of real pigging operations in real-life situations. Future courses at CTDUT will use the 2.5-km oil- and gas-powered test loops currently under construction. This first course will use the facilityâs 14-in. water and air-driven loop, and both utility and intelligent tools will be used for real-time demonstrations.
A range of discounts is available both to corporate member companies of CTDUT and for multiple bookings and details of these, together with the course syllabus and other information, are at www.piggingtraining.com
Due to the nature of the program, there will be a limit to the number of delegates that the course can accommodate. Please contact us soonest, therefore, if you or colleagues wish to attend.
