Pipe Cleaning Products
GapVax Inc.
The GapVax MC Series unit is made of 3/16-in., ASTM A572 Grade 50 Exten steel. The debris body ranges from 5 to 12 cu yds (stainless steel also available) and stainless steel water tank’s capacity can hold up to 2,000 gals. Heavy-duty double acting single-lift cylinder provides a stable 50-degree dump angle. The MC Series vacuum pump options range from 3,500 to 5,000 cfm with up to 27-in. Hg and is a wet-only vacuum truck. The MC series is also equipped with an 8-ft, front-mounted telescopic boom with dual lift cylinders, reaching 26 ft with a 270-degree rotation. The front-mounted hose reel has an 800-ft x1-in. hose capacity. The standard water pump is rated at 80 gpm at 2,000 psi; other options are available. Various additions include a wash down system; hydro-excavation package; heated boxes; remote pendants and wireless remotes for boom, vac break, and water controls; additional worklights; tube racks and more.
Envirosight
JetScan, the quick, easy way for a sewer cleaning crew to see inside buried pipe, now features a new sled design that keeps footage smooth and upright, and which can be outfitted with extension rollers to handle larger-diameter lines. The new stainless steel sled attaches directly to any 1-in. jetter hose (or ¾-in. with available adapter), and has six propulsion nozzles, up to four of which can be swapped with blanks to achieve desired thrust vs. water consumption. The sled allows viewing in pipes 8 to 15 in. in diameter, or beyond 15 in. with optional roller extensions attached. The new sled technology was developed in conjunction with StoneAge Inc., a world leader in water blast cleaning equipment and tools, and is manufactured at their Durango, Colo.-facility. As JetScan advances down pipe, it records 720p HD video in MPEG format to an onboard 32GB SDHC memory card. Immediately afterward, the card can be removed and video viewed on an iPad or other SDHC-compatible device. It’s affordable enough to put on every cleaning truck, yet captures valuable HD video footage from underground that can be viewed immediately afterward.
Vactor Mfg.
Designed for public utilities and professional contractors cleaning storm lines, the Vactor 2100 Plus from Vactor Mfg. features increased vacuum performance and improvements to operator comfort and control, air routing and filtration efficiency and fuel efficiency. This machine delivers plenty of power to clean larger storm lines and keep debris out of the ecosystem and fresh water supplies. Smart Truck concept features integrated on the sewer cleaner include internal monitoring systems that enable the operator to monitor and troubleshoot flow and pressure, blower temperature and oil level, drive system idle and open vacuum relief. The exclusive Jet Rodder water pump delivers maximum, continuous flow and pressure with minimal wear. The standard multi-flow system allows the operator to dial in the most effective pressure needed for the application at hand, while using less fuel. Additional features of the Vactor 2100 Plus include an easy-load, fast-dump debris body, Modul-Flex design system and positive displacement vacuum and fan platforms.
Vacall
Vacall AllJetVac combination sewer cleaners are unique to the industry with an exclusive collection of “Green that Works” advantages that save money and address environment concerns while also setting the standard for sewer line cleanout productivity. Designed and manufactured by Gradall Industries Inc., AllJetVac machines deliver excellent jetting action and superior vacuum power to open clogged sewer lines and perform needed routine maintenance. Two different models are available: P Series models have a strong positive displacement blower system for high performance and reliability. This series features a hose reel in the front with an optional axial pivot for multi-directional productivity. There are no pin-alignment problems due to a dual latching system. R Series models are high performance combination sewer cleaners with a rear-mounted hose reel and boom. The telescoping boom is also at the rear of the chassis for operators who prefer to work away from the engine. The rear hose wheel delivers jetting action in any direction with an optional axial pivoting base. As part of the Vacall “Green that Works” package of advantages, the AllSmartFlow CAN bus intelligent control system is standard on all AllJetVac models. Unlike other models that offer smart controls as an option, every AllJetVac machine is prepared to deliver optimum working efficiency by providing the operator with precise LCD controls to monitor and manage water flow and usage — avoiding waste as well as extra trips to refill water tanks.
