Mears Earns Safety Award

Mears Group, a QuantaServices Co., recently accepted the Distribution Contractor’s Association (DCA)2004 Arthur T. Everham Safety Award. Mears came in as first-place winner for theDCA 2004 safety award in the over 600,000 Man Hours Worked category.
Theaward was presented at the DCA 44th annual convention keynote breakfast on Feb.25. Sean Nicholson, Mears safety, training and environmental compliancedirector, accepted the award for Mears.
Mears performed outstanding inthe following areas that are considered for the safety award: OSHA TotalRecordable Incident Ratings (TRIR), Improvement Over Most Recent Three-YearPeriod (trend analysis), and Experience Modifier Rating (EMR), which indicatesworkers compensation premiums for previous three years.
