Lynn Osborn Named ASCE Fellow

Lynn E. Osborn, P.E., F.ASCE, owner of LEO Consulting LLC, and Trenchless Technology’s 2016 Person of the Year, has been named a Fellow by the ASCE Board of Direction.

Osborn has more than 40 years of experience in the water and sewer industry, dealing with pipelines, pump stations and treatment plants. He worked 31 years for Insituform, where he provided a wide range of engineering services. Over those years Insituform grew from manufacturer and technology provider into a large, global contractor.
Osborn retired from Insituform in December 2014 and started LEO Consulting, an engineering consulting firm based in St. Louis specializing in the trenchless rehabilitation of pipelines. He also serves as a technical director for NASSCO.
ASCE members elected to Fellow status have made celebrated contributions and developed creative solutions that have enhanced lives. Fewer than 3.5 percent of Society members hold this prestigious honor.

Osborn has been an ASCE member for four decades, active in ASCE’s Pipelines Division (now the Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute) for 28 years.
He has held multiple roles in UESI, including chair of the Executive Committee and technical program chair or co-chair for three Pipelines Conferences. In 2001 he received the ASCE Pipeline Division Award of Excellence, and recently joined the ASCE/UESI Board of Governors as a voting member.
