JD7 Founder to Lead Aquam’s R&D
November 17, 2014
Aquam Corp, a world-leading cleantech firm, has announced that JD7 founder Daniel Krywyj will be the head of Aquam’s research and development department. Two R&D locations — one in San Diego and one in Derby, United Kingdom — will open on Jan. 15, 2015.
“I look forward to building a solid team around the Aquam group that will position the business at the forefront of innovation, allowing both a significant competitive advantage and to change the way the industries work entirely,” Krywyj said.
A paramount division within Aquam, the R&D hubs will keep the parent company’s businesses competitive by introducing new technologies and ensuring that Aquam understands what the markets and customers require, ultimately transforming the way pipelines are inspected and repaired in the near future.
Krywyj’s research and development team, which will include mechanical, electronic and software engineers, will open up new markets to JD7, including military, power stations/power plants and multi-occupancy buildings, as well as introduce more robotic solutions for Nu Flow.
In 2001, Krywyj founded JD7, a global pipeline assessment and inspection solution provider and part of the Aquam group, after 11 years working within Technical Development at Rolls Royce Naval Marine and developing future technologies for Rolls Royce Aerospace. He has a degree in product design engineering and experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing processes and production for projects in the United States, Canada, Asia, Europe and Australia.
Aquam Corp is the parent company of global small diameter pipe lining technology manufacturer Nu Flow Technologies, pipe lining installer Nu Flow, global pipeline assessment and inspection technology provider JD7 and Supply UK Group, which provides infrastructure support and water services.
