ISTT Announces 5-Year Strategic Plan
The new five-year strategic plan by the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT) centers on the message, “Connecting Trenchless Across the World.”
As the industry faces mounting infrastructure demands for new installations and renewals, this plan sets a path for sustainable growth and professional development. It also focuses on global leadership. It serves as a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen our global network. Furthermore, it fosters innovation and advocates for trenchless technology as the standard method for underground infrastructure.
The ISTT looks forward to delivering the plan for the benefit of the organization and the industry.
The 2026–2030 Strategic Plan to position trenchless solutions as a global standard for underground infrastructure. With projected market growth exceeding $26 billion USD by 2030, driven by technologies like horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and pipe relining, ISTT aims to harness this momentum. They will do so through innovation, collaboration and capacity building.
