“The program of this year bristles with top-class lectures on political-economic and of course technical issues,” says DCA-Europe president Hermann Lubbers. “I hope that this congress will be the spark for all of us to see this [world financial and economic] crisis as a challenge and to defy it this way.”
The high-quality lecture program — which includes simultaneous translations in German, English and French — includes topics such as “European Union—Building a Common Future” and “Gas Energy Supply to France: Construction Program 2011-2014.
The program agenda also includes two Horizontal Directional Drilling Workshops that are intended to serve as a platform for an open discussion on the many opinions in the different countries, the different client requirements, engineering bureaus, authorities and other institutes influencing the HDD process and projects. The topics in of the two workshops are: Subsoil and Bending Radii. Each Workshop will be led by industry leaders. Those who should attend these sessions include pipeline owners and operators, engineering bureaus, soil investigation experts, HDD contractors, manufacturers of drilling equipment and drill tools and suppliers of consumer goods.
