American Augers Holds First-Ever Customer Day

American Augers, based in West Salem, Ohio, has been a mainstay in the trenchless technology market since its early days. On Thursday, June 9, the company opened its doors to its customers and media friends for its first-ever Customer Day at its 340,000-plus-sq ft facility.

The event drew nearly 100 visitors to the facility with some coming from as far as Latin America. American Augers marketing manager Kelly Foos, who coordinated the day’s events, said the company was more than pleased with the response to this first-ever event and hopes to do more in the future.

Activities for the day included a tour of the manufacturing operations. The day included classroom presentations and live demos of the AA equipment. The classroom presentations included topics such as Auger Boring Safety and Hydraulic Contamination Control. Demos included auger boring with AA’s 36-600 and 84/96 auger boring units being showcased at the facility’s auger boring pit. Other equipment on display included AA’s directional drills: DD-220T, DD-440T and DD-10 and DD-1100RS, as well its mud pump and systems MCR10000,

MCM4000, MPR6000. The demos also gave American Augers plant workers the opportunity to check out how the equipment they are building day in, day out is used

The lunch was prepared by the local Amish community. The day concluded with a dinner event at the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
