Thompson Pump Opens New South Carolina Branch
Thompson Pump & Mfg. Co. Inc., headquartered in Port Orange, Fla., hostedan open house celebration at the company’s new Summerville, S.C., branch,located near Charleston, April 6-7. Thompson Pump hosted area contractingcompanies, engineering firms, industrial accounts and municipalities with acatered BBQ lunch and provided facility tours.
Thompson Pump not only opened its new doors, but its wallet as well with adrawing for a free, one-month pump rental. The Thompson Pump “Blue Crew” made anappearance signing calendars and passing out their signature hard-hat stickers.Events throughout the day included John Deere, Deutz, Lombardini, Perkins, Hatzand Isuzu engine distributors educating attendees on new Tier 2 and Tier 3engines and Thompson Pump corporate staff providing insight into unusual andunique applications, new products, sewer bypass and field preventive maintenanceand service.
The Summerville branch office, one of 19 Thompson Pump branches nationwide,serves more than 200 customers in the South Carolina area. Under the directionof industry veteran Tim Creech and branch manager Mike Arnold, the branchprovides a full line of Thompson Pump products for sale or rent and theexpertise to provide solutions for the toughest dewatering, bypass and specialtypumping applications.
