SAERTEX multiCom, manufacturer of UV-cured fiberglass-reinforced pipe liners for the trenchless rehabilitation of wastewater and supply pipes, celebrated the grand opening of its Huntersville, North Carolina manufacturing plant.
Since 2009, the facility has produced SAERTEX’s GRP pipe liners for the North and Central American market. In order to greatly expand its U.S. business in the coming years, the company invested more than $20 million in the upgraded facility. More than 40 new jobs have been created in Mecklenburg County since its establishment.
The upgraded production plant includes in-house impregnation and improved capacities, as well as capabilities. The September grand opening ceremony brought together industry leaders, valued customers, partners and the local community including Huntersville Mayor Melinda Bales.
“We are thrilled to open our doors and a new chapter in trenchless rehabilitation” said Klaus Langenbach, managing director of SAERTEX multiCom LP. “This grand opening ceremony is an opportunity to showcase our state-of-the-art facility and the talented team behind it. We look forward to sharing our commitment to innovation and quality.”
