Publisher’s Message – Congratulations, Chris Macey, the 2025 Trenchless Technology Person of the Year!
Trenchless Technology has presented its Person of the Year annually since 1993, paying homage to trenchless professionals who have made significant achievements in the industry.
Nominations are reviewed by a committee of peers and after several rounds of review, the winner is selected.
On behalf of the Trenchless Technology team, we’d like to extend a big congratulations to Chris Macey, this year’s Trenchless Technology Person of the Year. As you’ll read from the cover story, Chris has spent nearly 50 years advancing trenchless engineering. A passionate innovator, educator, and leader, he’s shaped industry standards and inspired generations of professionals worldwide.
Chris will be formally recognized at NASTT’s No-Dig Show Opening Breakfast, Monday, March 31 in Denver, Colorado. We hope you can be there to congratulate Chris on his career achievements in the trenchless industry!

In the same spirit of celebrating career achievements, the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) Hall of Fame honors NASTT members who have made outstanding accomplishments and exceptional contributions to the advancement of the North American trenchless industry and the society.
This year, NASTT will honor the 2025 Hall of Fame Inductee – Dr. Kimberlie Staheli, Ph.D., P.E., president and principal engineer at Staheli Trenchless Consultants – at the 2025 No-Dig Show. Congratulations, Kim!
