Obituary: NUCA of Ohio’s Bob O’Donnell

He was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary Ellen (Kitty), two sons and four grandsons, as well as his brother.
O’Donnell was an officer in the United States Army and served as a fixed wing pilot in Munich, Germany, and a Helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Air Medal Award, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He loved Dayton and its rich aviation history. He retired from Standard Register after a 33-year career. In retirement he worked as an HR Block Income Tax preparer, a consultant for Heckmann Sales & Leasing, and served as the executive director of the National Utility Contractors Association of Ohio (NUCA).
O’Donnell was a proud supporter of The University of Dayton. He was a member of the Flyers Club, on the Executive Board of the Golden Flyers, on the UD Leadership Council and a UD basketball season ticket holder.
