Bryan, Ohio-based protective coatings supplier OBIC LLC and sister company Advanced Rehabilitation Technology (ART), announced a pair of promotions and a new hire.
At OBIC it was announced that Michael Hoffmaster was promoted to vice president of business development and Trey Hesselschwardt to director of corporate training. At ART it was announced the hiring of Tom Jensen as business development manager for the state of Texas.
“Mike has helped to expand our market and network of certified installers and has spent nearly four decades in the construction industry,” said Dustin Schlachter, CEO and chief visionary officer of OBIC. “Trey has been an integral part of OBIC since it started. He has worked his way up from installing the product and has a good understanding of the business.”
Serving previously as director of business development, Hoffmaster’s industry connections and knowledge in the trenchless are invaluable.
“It has been exciting to be part of the OBIC team and experience its growth not only across North America but around the world,” stated Hoffmaster. “It has been a pleasure to learn from Dustin. His experience with starting OBIC not only from the manufacturing aspect but also running the largest multi-layer polyurea installer company in the U.S. has been extremely beneficial.”
Hesselschwardt has previously shared his responsibilities between OBIC and Advanced Rehabilitation Technology overseeing safety and certified installer training for many years. He will report directly to Schlachter.
“Watching people grow, by giving people the proper tools and watching them implement them gives me great satisfaction” said Hesselschwardt. “We need to add quality team members to support the growth of OBIC. I am excited to have this opportunity to be part of OBIC growth and to fulfill Dustin’s vision.”
The hiring of Jensen in Texas marks the launch of ART’s operations in the state. “We are happy to have Tom join ART to help launch our Texas operation,” said Schlachter, chief growth officer at ART.
“I am looking forward to growing ART’s business and expanding OBIC’s brand throughout Texas,” said Jensen.
With the launch of a Texas operation ART now has offices in Bryan, Ohio; Cumberland, Maryland and Houston. Founded by Schlachter in 2007, ART is the largest multi-layer polyurea installer in North America and a certified installer of OBIC’s products.
