Laney Inc. Rebrands as MDS Boring & Drilling Inc.
For 34 years Mark, Dickey and Steve Laney have owned and operated Laney Inc. As times change, the company is changing as well by rebranding and expanding its business. Effective May 20, Laney Inc. is becoming MDS Boring & Drilling Inc.
MDS Boring and Drilling will continue road boring and will be returning to the directional drilling business. In May 2008, The Laneys sold Laney Directional Drilling but kept Laney Inc., their road boring operation. The Laneys say that changing the company name will differentiate the company from Laney Directional Drilling, which they are no affiliated with.
“Effective May 20, 2013, we will be back in the HDD business. We will continue road boring and will be expanding our business to include directional drilling as well,” the Laneys said in a press release. “We are very pleased to make this announcement and look forward to providing you with full service road boring and directional drilling for years to come. We would like to thank you for allowing us tremendous success since 1979.”
