HOBAS VP of Engineering Elected ASTM Subcommittee Chair

Richard Turkopp, P.E., vice president of engineering, Hobas Pipe USA, has been appointed as the subcommittee chairman for ASTM International D20.23 on Reinforced Plastic Piping Systems and Chemical Equipment.
This is included under ASTM Committee D20 on Plastics, which has jurisdiction of over 475 standards, published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, Section 8 on Plastics. D20 has 23 technical subcommittees that maintain jurisdiction over these standards. The committee has approximately 700 members .
Turkopp has been a long-term expert in the pipe market. In 1972 he began working in the fiberglass pipe market, and has been employed by HOBAS Pipe USA since 1987. His involvement with ASTM standardization dates back to 1981.
