Godwin Pumps Donates to the American Red Cross

Through a matching gift program, Godwin Pumps and its employees recently madea donation to the American Red Cross (ARC) Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.

Laura Steinmetz, ARC executive director of the Gloucester County, N.J.chapter, recently presented Godwin Pumps president John Michael Paz with acertificate of acknowledgement at Godwin’s home office in Bridgeport, N.J.

“In the nearly 30 years I’ve been in business, I have witnessed repeatedexamples of dedication and generosity by the people at Godwin Pumps who work forme around the country,” says Paz. “Hurricane Katrina is no exception. Inaddition to extraordinary job-related response, we had an outpouring ofdonations from Godwin employees, matched by the company, to aid in the AmericanRed Cross’s hurricane relief efforts in New Orleans.”

From Texas to New Jersey to the state of Washington, people at Godwin’s 22U.S. locations worked together to supply pumps, generators and light towers tothe New Orleans area after Hurricane Katrina hit. At the same time, Godwinemployees continued to support the demands of existing customers throughoutNorth America, according to Paz. During the days following the hurricane,several Godwin employees traveled to New Orleans to work onsite setting uppumping systems and servicing any equipment in need of repair.
