ARCADIS Secures Multi-Million Dollar Water Contract in Oman

ARCADIS (NYSE EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consultancy, design, engineering and management services company, recently announced that Malcolm Pirnie, the water division of ARCADIS, has been selected to support Veolia Water for managing the water sector in the country of Oman.

‘s Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) in designing and implementing technologies, procedures and asset management systems, to further professionalize its water utility management. The five-year multimillion-dollar contract begins in February to meet PAEW’s aggressive milestone schedule.

Malcolm Pirnie’s understanding of public utilities, local culture, coupled with Veolia’s service delivery framework has positioned our team to provide the best value for our newly created client organization,” stated Mohsen Mortada, manager for Malcolm Pirnie in Oman. “This project is a key step for PAEW to achieve its goals in the areas of customer service, staff development, utility performance and environmental stewardship, and will positively affect quality of life for its customers throughout the country of Oman.”

Specific responsibilities under the contract include a comprehensive analysis of PAEW’s current information and communication technologies (ICT) systems; implementation of new ICT systems for customer service management, performance monitoring and asset management; and development of operations manuals and procedures.
