AECOM to Acquire Boyle Engineering, Earth Tech

Aecom Technology Corp. reported on Feb. 11 it agreed to acquire Boyle Engineering, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based engineering firm that specializes in the water sector, including drinking water, wastewater treatment and water-resource management, according to CNNmoney.com. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.AECOM has 33,000 employees and operates in more than 60 countries. Boyle employs more than 600 people, mostly in the southeast and western United States.
AECOM Technology has also acquired Earth Tech, a business unit of Tyco International Ltd., for $510 million. Long Beach-based Earth Tech provides consulting, engineering, design and facility construction and operation services for wastewater, environmental and transportation projects. It had revenue of $1.3 billion in fiscal 2007 and employs 7,000 people worldwide.
