Intuitive Software Solutions for Sewer System Inspection

CAN-EX Technologies

Can-Ex Technologies is the brainchild of Can-Explore, a multidisciplinary engineering firm. Founded in 2014 by two freshly graduated engineers, Can-Explore now counts more than a hundred employees, with a range of services spread across three different departments and a R&D team for support.

Backed by decades of in-field experience and the diversity of its team, Can-Ex Technologies develops innovative solutions for real world use. Such solutions, more often than not, translate into meaningful products for the industry.

// ** Advertisement ** //

Guidelines were established at the beginning of the project; those would eventually become the development philosophy of the whole Can-Ex Technologies’ solution. At its core, the software had to be an intuitive tool where every contributor could easily collaborate and share data. It would then need to cover every step of the sewer inspection workflow, from planning to reporting as well as visualization, storage, and sharing. The envisioned product would help save time while constantly optimizing workflow, it would be accessible at all times, by everyone, from anywhere.

With the release of its NASSCO certified cloud-based software in early 2021, Can-Ex Technologies has quickly become a staple solution for everything sewer system related. Compatible with most technologies, i.e., rovers, operating systems, asset management tools, GIS and more, Can-Ex is regarded as one of the most versatile solutions available on the market.

Already serving hundreds of customers across North America, Can-Ex Technologies is rapidly evolving and consistently improving according to user feedback. With specific features suited for contractors, engineering firms and cities/municipalities, Can-Ex Technologies is a one-stop shop for all contributors of the industry no matter the size of the operation.

CUES SPiDER

CUES SPiDER scanner

The SPiDER Scanner is the first wireless and color manhole inspection technology in a lightweight and compact form factor. The SPiDER is a scanner which can calculate its position in the manhole shaft by using its sensor data to measure its incremental motion instead of the payout cable. SPIDER weighs less than 30 pounds and can be hand carried to easements or other previously difficult to access sites. This wireless portability is possible because the processing computer and battery supply are built into the scanner.

SPIDER collects millions of three-dimensional (3D) measurements during each manhole inspection so the manhole can be measured to less than 5 mm accuracy. The point cloud can be used to evaluate the structural changes in a manhole before and after rehab. The SPiDER also provides live-video stream and recorded MPG video making it an ideal wireless tool for Infiltration and Inflow studies. 800.327.7791 | www.cuesinc.com | salesinfo@cuesinc.com

MaxLiner® New Vertical Stack Resins and UV Cure System

Maxliner UV cure

Max VertiPox® CIPP resin (100% solids, styrene-free, two-part epoxy) system is uniquely formulated for vertical pipes and other in-building applications. The 3-to-1 ratio has a thicker viscosity to prevent the epoxy from gravity related resin run during installation and curing. It is chemical resistance, odor-free and adheres to existing pipe materials – even under very humid and wet conditions. It meets all specifications for full structural CIPP liner conforming to ASTM F1216.

// ** Advertisement ** //

MaxLiner’s LED-based UV curing system, MaxLight® and non-styrenated, single-component resin system optimizes CIPP operations by dramatically increasing work efficiency. Our unique photo initiators allow for fast curing speeds. Curing does not begin until resin is exposed to our finely-calibrated UV light. This allows for pre-impregnated liner assembly at the shop or on-site – eliminating pot life concerns and increased productivity. Several installations can be executed per day due to minimal footprint, equipment setup and efficiency.
