TT Technologies, a world leader in trenchless technology, announced that George Mallakis will join the company as a regional manager in California. This is a new position created to better serve TT Technologies’ customers on the West Coast. Mallakis brings with him more than 21 years of trenchless technology experience.

Prior to joining TT Technologies, Mallakis worked as a municipal engineer and a contractor in trenchless pipeline design and construction. He has worked with the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, J. Fletcher Creamer & Son Inc. and Wesco Infrastructure Technologies LP.

His enthusiasm for the industry is demonstrated through his active involvement in AWWA, ASCE, NASSCO and NUCA.

Mallakis’ varied educational background includes a bachelor of science in civil engineering and a master of business administration.

Under the terms of the agreement, Bechtel Infrastructure Corp. will contribute $352 million toward the settlement, with Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) contributing $47,230,500, which includes funds intended for future repairs and non-routine maintenance of the Central Artery/Tunnel. Both Bechtel and PB will take specific actions to enhance their existing training, compliance, and quality assurance programs in order to improve long-term performance and ensure that future work benefits from lessons learned during the Central Artery/Tunnel project. The agreement also provides remedies in the unlikely event of a future major incident for which B/PB is liable.
