Trenchless Asia 2012 to Co-locate with Singapore International Water Week

The organizer of TRENCHLESS ASIA 2012 has announced new dates and a new venue for the sixthinternational exhibition and conference to be held in Singapore in 2012.
TRENCHLESS ASIA 2012 will be held July 2-4 at the new Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo & Convention Centre and will be co-located with Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).
Recognizing Singapore as a regional center of excellence for trenchless technology, the organizer brought the industry back to Singapore in 2010 with ISTT’s International No-Dig Exhibition and following its success and industry support, TRENCHLESS ASIA returns ‘home’ to Singapore. TRENCHLESS ASIA has a reputation for attracting top quality audiences to this highly focused exhibition and conference. By co-locating with SIWW, an international water industry forum attracting an audience of some 13,000 from 99 countries, the industry will have a first-class opportunity to influence an audience of global water leaders on the benefits of using ecological methods for the repair and installation of underground utilities with minimum surface disruption.
“It is important for our exhibitors and visitors that TRENCHLESS ASIA maintains its own identity and fulfils our objective to deliver a niche event for the trenchless market,” commented show director, Paul Harwood. “As the water industry is a major user of trenchless technology, the co-location with SIWW is a perfect fit. By participating, our specialized sector will have an excellent opportunity to promote itself to a wider audience which has a large interest crossover.”
The TRENCHLESS ASIA conference program, compiled in conjunction with the ISTT, will present a program of technical papers and case studies. Singapore’s national water agency Public Utilities Board (PUB) is also the official supporter of TRENCHLESS ASIA and SIWW.
Senior deputy director of PUB Michael Toh commented: “We are delighted that TRENCHLESS ASIA will be joining us alongside SIWW. SIWW has grown enormously in stature since its inception four years ago. As in all major conurbations, trenchless technology benefits the environment and the travelling public and we are confident that a visit to TRENCHLESS ASIA will further enhance the SIWW visitor experience.”
TRENCHLESS ASIA is also supported by Singapore Society for Trenchless Technology (SgSTT) and the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES).
