Puris, Per Aarsleff Partner to Strengthen Lateral Rehab in Canada
Per Aarsleff Holding A/S and Puris announce a strategic partnership that sees Denmark-based Per Aarsleff acquiring a 49.5 percent stake in LiquiForce, a Puris company.
The partnership will leverage LiquiForce’s long‑standing presence in the Canadian market together with Per Aarsleff’s technical leadership and equipment innovations.
This partnership structure reflects the strength of the new group and the shared commitment to elevating infrastructure renewal services for municipalities and utilities throughout Canada. Furthermore, building on established expertise in advanced technologies, the combined team will expand its use of LED-light curing alongside existing methodologies. As a result, this will enhance performance, efficiency, and consistency in lateral rehabilitation.
“LiquiForce has deep relationships throughout Canada and a legacy of delivering quality service to its customers,” said Mick Fegan, CEO of PURIS. “By pairing Per Aarsleff’s technical insights and equipment advancements with the strength of the LiquiForce team, we are enhancing our ability to deliver superior lateral products and solutions to both existing and future customers across Canada. This partnership further reflects our commitment to innovation and to providing the optimal rehabilitation solution for every unique application.”
Per Aarsleff’s LED technology, BlueLight, used for trenchless rehabilitation of service laterals, will now be introduced to the Canadian market. In addition, the jointly owned Canadian company will receive a licence to Per Aarsleff’s technology. Aarsleff will contribute by building equipment and training local employees. The expectation is that the technology upgrade will significantly increase efficiency.
“Since the 1970s, we have developed and refined our trenchless pipe rehabilitation solutions, and today Aarsleff ranks among the world’s leading specialists. As much as 75 percent of our revenue related to trenchless sewer rehabilitation comes from abroad, primarily from Northern Europe,” says Jesper Kristian Jacobsen, Group CEO of the Aarsleff Group. “Over the years, we have successfully introduced our No-Dig technology to several international markets, and the agreement with LiquiForce offers good opportunities and strong potential.”
The integration of Per Aarsleff and LiquiForce marks a strategic step in PURIS’s continued focus on technological advancement and service excellence within the Canadian market.
