Polypipe Expands Product Line

PolyPipeInc. recently announced plans to expand its western U.S. pipe plant to includelarge diameter pipe production. The expansion at its existing Fernley, Nev.plant will enable better service, delivery and pricing for large diameter pipesin the western markets for industrial, water, wastewater and mining uses.
PolyPipe currently produces large diameter pipe up to 36 and 54 in. indiameter at its north Texas and Tennessee plants, respectively. PolyPipe expectsto complete the expansion in the first half of 2006.

“We’ll be able tobetter serve our customers for large diameter pipe in the west and this fitsvery well into our strategy to grow the business prudently,” said David Fordyce,PolyPipe chief executive. “This straightforward addition complements our largediameter offering in the central and eastern United States.”

PolyPipe,headquartered in Gainesville, Texas, produces small and large diameterhigh-density and medium-density polyethylene pressure pipe with one of thebroadest product lines in its industry. The company’s products are used in avariety of end markets, including industrial, mining, water and wastewater, oiland gas production and natural gas distribution. PolyPipe is currently one ofonly two national manufacturers of polyethylene pressure pipe, with sixmanufacturing plants across the United States.
