The ID of this pipe is 4 ¼ in. and is virtually flush through each joint, which makes it a great fit for drill and leave applications. The connections available are either CTM57 or XT57, which are both double shoulder and are both rated for extreme rotary torque. In the past, 5 ½-in. FH or DS55 was the connection of choice. But the largest ID allowable for those is 4 in. and with that ID the rotary torque takes a serious hit. Such is not the case with 5 7\/8-in., which has a nominal ID of 4 ¼ in. for S135. Additionally, E&M can supply crossover subs for this pipe so that you can seamlessly interchange it with your rig and tooling. Last, but certainly not least, this 5 7\/8-in. is priced at less than half the price of current 5 ½-in. FH.\r\n
