Obituary: Daniel Van Dam, Owner of D.A. Van Dam & Associates
Daniel Alfred Van Dam, 75 â owner and operator of D.A. Van Dam & Associates â passed away peacefully Dec. 9, 2017, at his residence.
Van Dam was born Nov. 19, 1942, in Bronx, N.Y., the son of Alfred D. and Olive (Wilkinson) Van Dam.
Van Dam was a 1964 graduate of Youngstown College (now Youngstown State University). He was a member of National Association of Sewer Service Contractors (NASSCO), Ohio Water Environmental Association (OWEA), American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), American Public Works Association (APWA), American Water Works Association (AWWA), Water Environment Federation (WEFTEC), Michigan Association of Distributors (MAD), Southern Wholesalers Association (SWA), Central Wholesales Association (CWA), Water Environmental Federation (WEF), American Supply Association (ASA), and Michigan Ground Water Association.
Van Dam leaves his wife, Cecilia âCissyâ A. (Hale), whom he married March 19, 1994; his children, Cynthia âCindyâ (David) Blech of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Jeff (Sonsheehray Robinson) Van Dam of Pennsylvania, Laurie (Belus) Morgan (John) of Geneva, Ohio, and Steve (Danielle) Belus of McDonald, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14, at noon at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, Ohio. Â In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202, in his name.
