NASTT 2025 No-Dig Show Returns to the Mile High City

The NASTT No-Dig Show is heading to Denver, Colorado this year.

This annual convergence of the worldwide trenchless community takes place March 30-April 2 at the Colorado Convention Center.

Be sure you stop by Booth #438 and visit with the Trenchless Technology magazine team, from left, Kelly VaNatten, publisher; Dan Sisko, trenchless ambassador; Sharon M. Bueno, editor; and Mike Kezdi, managing editor.

This annual event serves as the largest trenchless-focused conference in the world, featuring a full slate of educational, exhibiting and networking opportunities for those who attend.

A high-quality combination of education and innovation, this year’s show features more than 180 exhibiting companies. The tradeshow floor gives attendees ample opportunities to check out the latest technologies and products the industry has to offer.

The conference portion features peer-reviewed technical papers and panel discussions via six industry track sessions focused on both installation and rehabilitation that spans the three days of the show. Morning and afternoon sessions will give attendees a chance to attend several different sessions.

// ** Advertisement ** //

The technical presentations are always a feature of the No-Dig Show and this year’s presentations focus on a diverse range of trenchless topics, including horizontal directional drilling, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), microtunneling, inspection, case histories, asset management, pipe jacking and ramming, water and sewer rehabilitation, project planning, inspection and trenchless research.

Download the mobile app at the Apple Store or Google Play and have access to the current Session Schedule during the show. Also, check out the 2024 Trenchless Technology Projects of the Year winners’ session taking place in Room 112 from 2-2:25 p.m. (new installation) and 2:30-2:55 p.m. (rehabilitation) on April 1. You’ll have a chance to hear from the architects of the winning projects who will discuss the challenges they faced and how they solved them, as well as field questions from those in the session.

Although the No-Dig show is the conduit to promote and advance the trenchless marketplace through education and exhibits, there’s also the social aspect of the conference that fosters networking opportunities for attendees, as well as just some fun and good times.

2025 NASTT Hall of Fame

Staheli

Kimberlie Staheli, Ph.D, P.E., president and principal engineer at Staheli Trenchless Consultants is the 2025 inductee into the NASTT Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame honors North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) members who have made outstanding accomplishments and exceptional contributions to the advancement of the North American trenchless industry and the society. Staheli is the 35th inductee into the Hall of Fame and as a trailblazer in the industry, the first female.

Staheli’s career began in 1992 after she received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. Her early work in the trenchless industry started at Hydro Group Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, where she gained hands-on experience with a new technology in the United States – microtunneling.

Motivated by her interest in soils engineering and tunneling, she earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University in 1996 and worked as a key member of a pioneering research team for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the Waterways Experiment Station.

In 1998, she co-founded Bennett Staheli Engineers with Dave Bennett, establishing one of the first consulting firms in the United States to specialize exclusively in trenchless pipeline techniques. Recognizing the need for more detailed technical understanding of trenchless methodologies, particularly microtunneling, Staheli earned her Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006.

In 2007, Staheli founded Staheli Trenchless Consultants in Seattle, Washington, positioning herself as an expert on challenging projects in the Pacific Northwest, where highly abrasive, variable glacial soils present unique engineering challenges.

As the principal engineer, Staheli has led numerous successful trenchless projects, including those involving HDD, microtunneling, pipe ramming, and direct steerable pipe thrusting. Her approach emphasizes the importance of direct field observations, ensuring that her designs are informed by practical, real-world conditions. Even today, she continues to visit job sites, providing guidance on trenchless projects across the country.

Throughout her career, she has remained committed to advancing the trenchless industry through both practice and leadership. Upon hearing the news, Staheli said she was, “So very honored. I just love this industry so much! NASTT has given back to me in so many ways.”
