Hydra-Stop Wins NOVA Award

ADS LLC (ADS) recently announced that Hydra-Stop, one of its threeoperating divisions, is being honored by the Construction InnovationForum (CIF). The Forum awarded its NOVA Award for outstandinginnovation in construction to Hydra-Stop’s Insta-Valve Plus.
The 2007 winners were announced in Naples, Florida at the AnnualConstruction Users Roundtable (CURT) Awards Dinner held on Nov. 6. TheNOVA Award is CIF’s most distinguished honor. Nominated innovations arejudged by a jury of independent, internationally recognized expertsfollowing an intense and thorough investigation process. Innovationsare judged by their effect on the construction process and on
facility services. They must be a proven success that has significantlyimproved construction, quality, productivity, safety and costeffectiveness.
“It is both an honor and a humbling experience to accept thisprestigious award from CIF, ” states Brett Hanes, general manager ofHydra-Stop. “I want to thank all that played a role in our receivingthis award, including our clients.”
Insta-Valve Plus is a liquid flow control valve insertion for immediateline stopping capabilities. It won the NOVA Award for innovation inwater distribution control. The people at ADS and Hydra-Stop withprimary responsibility for the innovation are: Brett Hanes, generalmanager of Hydra-Stop; Carl Mastny, production manager; Brad Tolman,field services manager; and Joseph Goustin, CFO at ADS LLC.
