Elwell and Brown Appointed to Water for People
Frederick H. Elwell, P.E., DEE, senior consultant, and Paul R.Brown, president of CDM’s Public Services Group, have been elected to leadershippositions at Water for People, an international nonprofit developmentorganization committed to improving the quality of life by supportingsustainable drinking water, sanitation and hygiene projects.
In February, the Water for People board of directors electedElwell president. He also serves as chair of Water for People’s ExecutiveCommittee. Additionally, he is a member of the American Water Works Association(AWWA) board of directors and the AWWA Executive Committee.
Brown has been appointed to the Endowment Committee of the John H.Ware Jr. International Water and Sanitation Fellowship Program. Sponsoredthrough Water for People, the fellowship program brings water professionals fromdeveloping countries to the United States to train alongside their U.S.counterparts for a better understanding of the North American water industry andhealth education field.
A senior vice president with CDM until his retirement last year,Elwell has more than 40 years of experience leading strategic programs in waterresources, drinking water, and wastewater management.
Brown, a member of CDM’s board of directors, has more than 30years of experience in project development, project finance, and the planningand management of public utilities and environmental facilities. He has alsobeen a key leader in a number of water resources planning projects emphasizingstakeholder involvement and multi-objective decision making.
